Macbeth is a nightmare, a dazzling play, an act, a night of paradox and turmoil. Of doubt, "this monstrous black in the heart of man."

The theatrical time - in the passage between the play and the opera - is transformed, condensed, like the time of a dream.

Macbeth is the time of metaphor, confusion, symbolism and indistinction. What follows is inspired by the snippet of the dream, the unconscious production of images, and tries to create - like paradoxical sleep - another logic.

Macbeth is a complex piece, which cannot be reduced. A mystery, which it is important to scrutinize, to dig, in order then, as Freud says, "to give up piercing the triple layer of obscurity in which the poor conservation of the text, the unknown intention of the poet and the hidden meaning of the Legend ”.
